Our founding attorney Doug Carter grew up in a small town. His father was a state trooper and his family was active in their local church. One thing his folks made sure he learned early on was the difference between right and wrong. When he graduated from Duke University School of Law, he started working for one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the United States, representing employers, insurance companies and elite businesses. He learned how those folks think and operate. But over time, Mr. Carter came to realize that he wasn't always on the right side.
The Carter Law Offices — Established 1996
In 1996, Mr. Carter made the decision to do the right thing for people. He started Carter Law Offices right here in Kansas City, Missouri. Our work at the Carter Law Offices is based on a simple idea: If you put the right lawyers with the right experience and the right focus on the case, you can make a difference. You can be on the right side. And you can win.
We have been winning cases for our clients for years, and have developed the knowledge, experience and skill to handle even the most serious personal injury case. We represent the victims of truck accidents, as well as other motor vehicle accidents. Our clients are people who were injured in nursing homes, in cars, on buses or on the premises of another. They include the victims of medical malpractice and employment discrimination. No matter what they have faced, we can help them get results in Missouri and Kansas courts.
Our Attorneys and Staff Set Us Apart
What makes us different from other law firms? Our people. It's not just the experience and compassion that our attorneys bring to every case we handle, but the experience and compassion brought by an entire team of people — people who are dedicated to seeing you achieve the best possible results through legal action.
Our staff includes two trained medical providers: a registered nurse and a doctor of chiropractic. Both remain available to help in all cases that involve medical issues or personal injury. Our nurse is trained as a legal nurse consultant, and she can make a difference in making sure that we have the right doctors and the right medical issues identified for trial. Our chiropractor also teaches anatomy at a local college and studies law. He consults with us on cases, helps us review medical records and can talk to you about your personal injury and treatments.
We look forward to hearing from you. We are here to make a difference. Give us a call 816-283-3500 . You may also contact us online to schedule a free initial consultation with our team of Kansas City personal injury lawyers.
