Biography

Doug Carter is a distinguished trial attorney and the founder of Carter Law Offices in Kansas City, Missouri. Over his 40-year career, he has built a reputation for navigating complex civil cases across the United States specializing in employment law, civil rights, and legal malpractice.

A 1981 graduate of Duke University School of Law, Doug began his career at a prominent litigation firm in Washington, D.C. before returning home to the Midwest to establish a practice rooted in advocacy and integrity.

Representing a diverse clientele ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, Doug is a staunch advocate for civil rights, frequently litigating employment law cases centered around The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), employment discrimination and workplace harassment and retaliation.
